Rooted in Truth Homeschool Covenant

Version 2026-2027

As parents and educators in the Rooted in Truth Homeschool Co-op, we come together in unity to honor God and raise our children in the knowledge and wisdom of His Word. We recognize that God has entrusted us with the responsibility to lead and disciple our children. This covenant is a reflection of our shared commitment to walk together in responsibility, accountability, and support, guided by the Word of God. We enter into this covenant prayerfully, seeking to glorify God in all that we do. May He strengthen our homes, guide our hearts, and use this co-op to raise up a generation that walks in His truth.

3 John 1:4: “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” We believe that the greatest joy of parenting is seeing our children grow in faith and truth. Our homeschooling efforts are dedicated to nurturing their spiritual, academic, and personal development according to God’s will.

1 Corinthians 4:2: “Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.” As parents, we accept our God-given role as stewards of our children's education and discipleship, and we seek to be faithful in this calling.

1. Commitment to Christ-Centered Education

  • We will prioritize the Word of God in our homeschooling efforts, integrating biblical teachings into every aspect of our children’s education.
  • We will seek to cultivate an environment where our children can grow spiritually, encouraging them to walk in truth.

2. Commitment to Parental Leadership and Servitude

  • We understand that parents are the primary educators and spiritual leaders of their children. As parents, we will lead with responsibility and humility in the education of our children, ensuring we are faithful stewards of the trust God has given us. (1 Corinthians 4:2)
  • We acknowledge our role as the primary educators of our children and agree to invest the time, energy and resources necessary to fulfill that calling.
  • Each parent agrees to actively participate and sign up to serve in some capacity within the co-op, whether teaching, assisting, organizing, or supporting logistics. We believe that a strong community is built when every member contributes with a servant’s heart.

3. Commitment to Character and Behavior

  • We will guide our children not only in academic excellence, but also in developing Christ-like character. We will foster a culture of kindness, respect, humility, responsibility and service toward each other. All students and parents are expected to conduct themselves in a way that reflects the love of Christ.
  • We will model respect toward the person speaking by not engaging in social conversations during class time, and encouraging our children to do the same.
  • Bullying, teasing, or any form of unkindness, whether physical, verbal, or emotional, will not be tolerated. We are committed to creating a safe, welcoming environment where every child feels loved, seen, and valued. We will address conflict biblically and respectfully, promoting peace and reconciliation.

4. Commitment to Faithful Participation

  • We will strive to faithfully attend our gatherings. We understand that regular participation helps foster a consistent learning environment and strong relationships.
  • Out of respect for one another, and to make the most of our time together, we will do our best to arrive on time and be ready to start by 9:30.

5. Facility Use and Responsibility

  • We are grateful to First Baptist Church of Ludowici for generously allowing us to use their facility. We commit to treating the church property with respect, keeping all areas clean, orderly, and well cared for.
  • Parents are fully responsible for the supervision, behavior, and safety of their own children while on church property. By signing this covenant, parents agree not to hold First Baptist Church of Ludowici or Rooted in Truth Homeschool Co-op liable for any injuries, accidents, or personal property loss that may occur during co-op gatherings.

6. Commitment to Doctrinal Unity

  • We understand that individuals may come from different backgrounds and belief systems; however, within the Rooted in Truth community, all teaching and discussions should reflect our doctrinal views of Biblical Christianity. Differing beliefs will not be permitted to be taught at our gatherings.

Statement of Faith

Version 2026-2027

We believe the Bible is the true Word of God, and it holds divine authority on all things (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We believe in one true God (1 Corinthians 8:5-6, John 17:3), who exists in three persons known as the Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the Messiah. He came to earth as God in the flesh, fully God and fully man. We believe God is the creator of man and all things (Genesis 1:1). Man was made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26), but our sin cut us off from God (Genesis 3:8-10, Isaiah 59:2, Romans 5:12). Jesus Christ died for our sins, and it is through faith in Him alone, not by our own works, that we may be born again into the family of God and receive eternal life with Him (John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9). We believe that once we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit sanctifies and dwells within us (Romans 8:9, Acts 2:38). We believe that Jesus Christ will return again (John 14:3, Acts 1:10-11, Revelation 1:7). We believe Heaven and hell are real places that exist eternally, and that we will either spend eternity separated from God by our sin, or with God through forgiveness and salvation (Matthew 25:41, 46, Revelation 14:9-11, Philippians 3:20-21). We believe water baptism is a public profession of our faith and personal relationship with God (Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 2:38).

It is our position at Rooted in Truth that belief systems such as Mormonism, Judaism, Jehovah’s Witness, Catholicism and Christian Science are not of true Biblical Christianity. Members are not permitted to teach or promote views that are not aligned with this Statement of Faith.
