What the installation actually involves. Every walkway starts with digging down to a consistent depth and laying a compacted gravel base. A leveled layer of bedding sand goes on top, then the pavers or stepping stones are set in a straight line with an edging strip along the sides so the path does not spread over time. Skipping the compacted base is the most common way a rushed installation fails.
Timing. Omar schedules paver and stepping-stone work around drier stretches where he can, since a solid compacted base is harder to get when the soil is saturated. He works out each job's timing on the walkthrough rather than promising a generic install window.
